Philippe Bodson has approval for ASL’s Legacy 450 for London City airport

ASL's Legacy 450 approved for London City operations

Antwerp, Belgium-based ASL has received approval to perform commercial charter flights in and out of London City airport with its Legacy 450. Following approval to operate at La Mole airport in St Tropez, France, last year, the aircraft has been retrofitted with Steep Approach Mode which allows it to perform stabilised approaches with up to 6° steep angles. London City's final approach glide-path is 5.5°.

ASL CEO Philippe Bodson says: “This approval will boost charter sales, especially for people willing to connect to London's economic heart. But it should also create new direct routes between unique destinations such as London City and St Tropez, which are currently impossible on most light, mid-size and super mid-size jets due to the very demanding aircraft performances required.”
