Jas Hawker brings Red Arrows aviation passion to Moon Jet Group

Former Red Arrows leader joins Moon Jet Group

Newcastle, UK-based Moon Jet Group has appointed Jas Hawker (pictured on page 10) as chief operating officer. Hawker, former leader of Royal Air Force aerobatic team the Red Arrows, will be responsible for the oversight of all day-to-day operations as well as the continued devel-opment of Moon Jet Group's international presence.

Hawker spent 24 years as an RAF pilot, amassing over 5,000 hours flying fast jet aircraft. He was the youngest pilot to fly the Tornado in a combat role and was qualified to lead any scale of mission, anywhere in the world. He also spent six years as a Red Arrows display pilot, including three years as the leader and commanding officer where he performed more than 500 public displays throughout the UK, Europe, Canada, North America, the Middle East and Asia.

Hawker has also worked within the UK Ministry of Defence where he identified and analysed global security challenges in order to provide timely strategic level advice to senior military officers and ministers. He is a distinguished graduate of the Australian Command and Staff College and Manchester Business School.
