Qatar Airways enhances its core IFE content services

Qatar Airways has agreed a strategic, multi-year content service contract with USA-based Global Eagle Entertainment (GEE), a provider of satellite-based connectivity and media to the global transport industry. The deal taps GEE's content platform and expertise on over 170 aircraft, including eight Qatar Amiri charter aircraft and 12 Qatar Executive business jets, which means the company is now poised to provide the latest movies, television and audio programming on regional and international flights.

Senior vice president, market- ing and corporate communica-tions for Qatar Airways, Salam Al Shawa, says: “GEE has the content solutions and expertise that are central to the develop-ment and deployment of the inflight entertainment platform across our fleets. We are dedicated to providing a great passenger experience, and this collaborative partnership will help to ensure our IFE content is relevant, enjoyable and a true differentiator our airline can count on for years to come.”
