Hummingbird attracts WaltAir

Following their merger in July, Swedish operators Hummingbird Aviation Services and WaltAir are now operating under the shared name, Hummingbird.

Headquartered in Stockholm, together they offer a fleet of 19 propeller and jet aircraft and a range of services that includes air charter, air taxi, air ambulance and cargo. In addition there are six helicopters for passenger services, cargo and sightseeing.

The merger also means that a programme of building proprie-tary terminals can be accelerated. Hummingbird currently has FBOs in Malmö and Norrköping, but a facility at Skavsta is due to open soon while another at Stockholm Bromma is under construction.

“The aviation market in Europe and the world has changed and more is to come. People are seeing the advantage of having the power to affect when and where they are travelling with their aircraft,” says Martin Johansson, CEO at Hummingbird Aviation Services.
