Purwin takes over as CEO at Helinet

Jet and helicopter pilot Kathryn Purwin has taken over as CEO of Helinet Aviation Services, Georgia, USA, an international provider of corporate travel, emergency medical service, electronic news gathering, motion picture, television and commercial production services.

Delta Private Jets appoints VP for sales

Nicholas Portaro has been named vice president of sales and will lead Kentucky, USA-based Delta Private Jets' sales, pricing, revenue management and product development department. Portaro brings more than 25 years of sales and senior leadership experience to the position.

Jota Aviation expands management team

Southend, UK-based Jota Aviation has appointed Kevin Callan as chief financial officer. Callan brings three decades of aviation experience and joins Jota's senior management team from global business aviation company Gama Aviation where he was Group CCO.

“Jota has achieved a lot in its first six years,” says Callan. “They are energetic and swift to respond to market opportunities and I am looking forward to taking them to the next level.”

Jota is also actively recruiting more type rated pilots and cabin crew so it can increase passenger and freight flying in response to demand. “It is pleasing that we are exceeding more hours than expected with charter work and sub-contract work to regional airlines,” says CEO Andy Green. “We are in a niche market with our versatile and popular Avro RJ85 as there are very few available for ACMI charter in Europe now.”
